This was a great Web 2.0 program, i look forward to finding out more about all the great resources out there.

Module 6

11.MySpace

Here is Yarra Plenty's Youth Space page,Add us to your friends's list

12.Facebook

Yprl Facebook

13.Second Life

I have had a go at Second Life, but it's not something i have a big interest in. I think it's a great way to socialise and be in a world of your own .

14.Skype

Skype is great, we use it at home all the time to speak to our relatives and friends overseas.

Module 5

9.igoogle
google, google, google, what don't they do. igoogle is great, i like the personal touch you can make to your igoogle page and because you use your google account to sign in you can have different igoogle pages for each account. There are so many gadgets you can add.

10.google maps

i use google maps whenever i have access to the internet and i need an address, Otherwise if im in the car the Melway still gets some use :)

See the map of Lalor Library on the left sidebar, click on view larger map

Module 4

6.You Tube

You tube has it all. I think this site is great, i mostly use it to find tutorials or reviews on products, it's one thing to read about something but if you want to see it in action it's great. I recently viewed the Hp Touchsmart video and i know what i want to buy now!

7. Podcasts

I have to say i don't listen to them often unless there is one on a website that helps me, just like the "taste of web 2.0" podcast for each activity. I have listened to a few radio podcasts which are great if you have missed out on a show.

8. Overdrive- Downloadable Audio books and ebooks

Now this i like. I have the overdrive software installed and im usually browsing for ebooks and sometimes audio books. The ebooks are great if you like sitting and reading from a Pc. I genreally don't like reading the entire book but i browse through sections and mainly use it for PC help books.

The library subscribes to many IT and computer e books. Have a look at Safari Online type in your library card details and search our titles.

Module 3

5. Library Thing

Now this is a great site. Instead of having books and pieces of paper everywhere you can save your lists online. While you can only save 200 items and not all items are on the catalogue, there are plenty of books that are.

Here is a list of some books i have read.

Nat's List

You can also use the list to save books you may want to read in the future and then take them off as you read them.

The best part about joining Libraything is you don't need to fill out a long registration form, you just enter your nickname and password and your DONE, how quick is that!

Module 2

3.Flickr

Here is a picture of the Butterflies at Lalor Library. This wonderful looking wall was created by the people at NEAMI.

Flickr is great, there are so many picture to see and it's great for holiday pictures. You can save your pictures from your camera onto your Flickr account and not have to worry about running out of space on your memory card, and most of all you won't accidentally delete pictures from your camera because you have them backed up on Flickr.

4.Online image generator

Here is the image i created . I had a great time using the image generator, I spent over 30 mintues playing around with all sorts of tools, i could spend hours if i had the time. This tool would be great for making party invitations or posters. If you search Google you can see just how many different sites there are out there to explore.
The jigsaw images are great for making your own puzzles!

MushyGushy is a website for sending ecards and is great fun
